EQUALITY 4 MEN

The Global Campaign for Men and Boys

You’ll be surprised at some of the top 10 killers of men in Europe….

Top 10 Killers Men

Whose lives do we value more? Men’s or women’s? Well whatever your answer the undeniable fact is that across Europe men are more likely than women to die from all of the major causes of death with the exception of breast cancer which men get in much smaller numbers.

Men are particularly vulnerable to booze, drugs, fags and sex being four to five times more likely to die as a result drug dependence and alcohol abuse;  three to four times higher more likely to die from AIDS (HIV) and three times more likely to die from lung cancer.

Suicide and accidents also take men’s lives at three times the rate of women.

The top 10 killers of men across Europe are:

  1. Heart Disease
  2. Lung Cancer
  3. Cerebrovascular disease (eg strokes)
  4. Accidents
  5. Respiratory diseases
  6. Liver disease
  7. Pneumonia
  8. Suicide
  9. Bowel cancer
  10. Diabetes

If you think we need to take more action to help men live longer, happier, healthier lives then join our campaigns to #HelpMenLiveLonger  today.
